   Manufacturers Points Standings

Manufacturers have a points race of their own. The car maker who has a driver take first place in a race earns

nine points for that race. Second-best performance by a manufacturer gets six points, third place earns four

points and fourth place, three points.

   Rookie of the Year (ROTY)

Raybestos Rookie of the Year candidates earn points based on their best 17 finishes of the season. Points are

earned through entry points, competition points based on finish, top 10 bonus points, bonus points based on

three segments of the season, and a panel of voters at the completion of the season.
